Yesterday he stood behind me while we were looking over the syllabus for Intro to European Politics, and I swear he was so close I could feel the heat from his body. He’s doing it on purpose right? He has to be. Last week we sat next to each other when he was looking over my research and his thigh was right against mine. That’s not an accident, I don’t care what my roommate says. You’re his grad student, you TA his classes, he’s not into you… Well she doesn’t see the way he looks at me when we are alone in his office. Or the way his eyes linger on my body when he thinks I don’t notice. I know he is attracted to me. I’m attracted to him. We are perfect for each other. Okay, so he’s a little bit older than I am. 20 years older. And he’s divorced. So what? He’s brilliant and we like all the same things, and clearly are interested in the same topics intellectually. He always tells me how unique my perspective on politics and the world is. He values my input on his classes. He really listens to me. We are connected. And he’s so fucking hot. The beard. The hands. The build. Makes me wet just sitting here thinking about it. Speaking of, I’ve been waiting in his office for over 15 minutes now. I’m going to do it today. I’m going to make a move on him. I’m so fucking nervous. I’ve sat on this couch so many times, and this is the first time I’ve ever been nervous. But I can’t take it anymore. If I don’t do it now…I won’t do it. What if he doesn’t want me? Shit, what if this is all in my head? Fuck. It just got really hot in here. I need to take my hoodie off. Oh no, that’s him at the door!“Hey! I hope you weren’t waiting long.” he says as he enters his cramped office. He’s carrying a backpack and water bottle. “No…haven’t been waiting long Professor…just…”“I’ve told you, don’t call me Professor when it’s just us. It’s so formal!”“Right. Sorry.” Deep breath. Deep breath. He puts his bag on the floor and sits in his chair at his tiny white desk. Fuck he looks good. His dark eyes are so deep I could get lost in them. He smiles slightly at me, a smirk really. His hand goes to his mouth, then he thinks better of it. I notice his eyes lingering on my bare shoulder, where I had begun to take my hoodie off. I follow his gaze and take it off the rest of the way, now in my sheer cami only.“I got hot.” I say shyly. He nods slowly.“So…what’s on the agenda for today? More corrections on your paper?” He turns away from me to his desk and starts rummaging through the papers there. It’s now. I have to do it now. No one else is here. I stand and slowly walk behind him to the door. He doesn’t look up. “Uh…not quite.” I say slowly. I reach out and lock the door.He looks up at me, a confused look on his rugged face.“Did you just lock the door?”I suck my bottom lip in and move to his desk, leaning against it to face him.“Ummm…yeah.” I whisper. He pushes back in his chair. “You plan on telling me why?” He crosses his arms over his broad chest.“Uhh… maybe.”
